About Me

Preserving family legacy through photographs, stories and precious objects has been important to me since I was very young. I was very close to my grandparents, and loved to hear their stories about coming to America from Russia in the early 1900’s. I started a journal years ago, writing down the many stories about the past that my father and cousins would tell. I have a precious audio recording of my grandmother from 1983, talking about her siblings and her early life in Michigan, becoming a teacher and running a camp. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to still be able to hear her voice!

Through my father I developed a love of photography, and after working in advertising and the restaurant business I turned my hobby into a career, becoming a portrait and documentary photographer and telling other people’s stories. I am infinitely curious about people, their lives and their backgrounds, so it is not surprising that I’ve turned this love of storytelling (and an obsession with organizing- whether it is a closet, a box of photographs or a hard drive!) into a business helping people to sort through their piles of photographs, albums and memorabilia to create a cohesive collection to enjoy their family’s stories, and to preserve their legacy for future generations.
